Democratic Women's Club Celebrates Black History Month
In recognition of Black History Month, Honoree Claretha Witherspoon will be the guest speaker at the February 22 meeting of the Democratic Women's Club Of Upper Pinellas. Claretha with share wonderful memories of her cousins, Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson and his older brother, Silver Medal Oympian, Matthew "Mack" Robinson, along with stories about her husband's old Navy friend, "Roots" author, Alex Hayley, etc. Discussion will follow. The meeting will held at Stacey's Buffet, 1451 Missouri Ave. N in Largo. Social hour/lunch starts at 11:30 AM followed by the speaker and a short business meeting at 12:15 PM. Everyone is welcome.
